✈️ A group trip

The group trip, out of the group chat.

Several people, dates that don't line up, money to split, choices to make. Pango turns the chat into an itinerary, a split budget, and decisions everyone voted on.

What the AI actually builds

A real plan, kept current as you talk.

A snapshot from a Space mid-project. The artifact lives next to the chat and updates itself — no homework. Share read-only with anyone who needs to see where things stand.

Sound familiar?

Four people, three group chats, a Pinterest board, and a spreadsheet one person maintains. The decisions scroll away and someone always books the wrong thing.

Built for the whole arc

Different shape for every stage.

Each phase of a group trip has its own UX — different artifacts in play, different things the AI is watching. Not one generic chat with a kitchen-sink prompt.

  1. 1Pick the dates + the place

    Vote and decide

Each candidate destination becomes a real comparison: per-person cost, flight options, headcount fit. The vote is in chat; the winner gets the booking deposits, the why, and the next-steps list.

    📍 Place candidates⚖️ Decisions💰 Per-person estimate
  2. 2Book + plan

    Itinerary builds itself

Forward flight confirmations, airbnb bookings, restaurant reservations. The itinerary stitches them together — arrivals matched, ground transport flagged, the day plan shaped around the late flight.

  3. 3On-trip

    Real-time, not pre-planned

Day plan reshapes as the weather changes or someone finds something. The split runs as you go — snap receipts, the AI updates the totals, running balance always visible. Diet flags and energy levels travel with the recommendations.

  4. 4After

    The trip you can re-open

Settle-up in one tap. The Space stays as a memory you can scroll: where you ate, what you'd skip next time, the favorites. Year-later trip planning starts with what you actually loved, not the wishlist.

How it actually goes

The specific moments it earns its keep — not the demo video, the boring middle.

Picking dates and place

Each option becomes a place candidate with the flights, the cost-per-person, and the headcount feasibility. The group votes; the winning pick gets the booking links, the next-step list, and the rationale logged.

Flights start landing in the inbox

Forward the confirmations. The itinerary builds itself — arrivals matched, ground transport flagged, the day-1 plan light enough for the late flight. Nobody's manually copying flight times.

Booking the airbnb

Three finalists, vote happens in chat, deposit due Friday — all in one Space. The budget knows about the split the second the booking lands; the deposit-payer doesn't have to chase reimbursements.

On-trip, day 2

Lunch suggestions tuned to the neighborhood you're in + the diet flags from the group. The day plan reshapes as you walk into and out of things. The shared list of what you've actually done becomes the real itinerary, not the pre-trip wishful one.

Someone pays for dinner

Snap the receipt; the split updates. Running totals always show who's ahead and who's owing — nobody calculates anything at the end of the trip. Settle-up is one tap when you're home.

Trip's over

The photos, the favorite spots, the things you'd do again — kept. Next year someone says "remember that place in Lisbon?" and the Space has it. The trip becomes a memory you can actually open.

What you get

An itinerary from the chat

Arrivals matched, the late flight handled, the day plan built as you talk.

A budget split fairly

Who paid, who owes, what's per-person — settled, not argued at the end.

Choices everyone voted on

The place, the dates — decided together and recorded, not picked by whoever's loudest.

vs. a basic AI chat

You could ask ChatGPT. Here's what it can't do.

A basic AI chat
  • Plans a generic itinerary it can't adjust when someone's flight changes.
  • Can't track who paid for what or who owes who.
  • One person talks to it; the group never sees it.
Pango
  • Reflows the day plan from the actual thread — the late flight, the vote, the change of plans.
  • Runs the split as you go; everyone settles up in-app, no end-of-trip spreadsheet fight.
  • Everyone's in one Space — the place, the dates, decided together and recorded.

Out of the group chat. Into one place.
